VIDEO STRATEGY

Having trouble with a certain boss, or a certain part of the game? Well, look no further. I am an experienced SH gamer and I am more than happy to offer you my knowledge. I am also a super speed-through expert, which is what my guide is based off of [speed-run, that is]. I only do what you NEED to do in the game; bare ESSENTIALS. Which means that I do not do anything that I DON'T need to do in these walkthrough videos. They are split up by sections of the game and are streaming below. I am using the PC version and I do not have strafe buttons on my controller, but I do recommend using the strafe ability, especially for quick turn. I am not very confortable with the controller I have, so I may make a few mistakes. The analog stick is way too loose. I notice I run into walls, but that is hard to avoid with my controller, so don't knock me down because of this. The game is played on NORMAL, NORMAL difficult.
UUPDATE: I'm using a PS3 controller now and it has improved the quality of the rest of the videos.

I am planning a 50 minute speed-run for the PS2. I'll post the link when it's done.

Part 1: [Bathroom, forest, streets] This isn't a very hard part at all. It's as simple as following the path, getting the wooden plank, key, then reaching the apartments. 7:49 Minutes

Part 2: [Woodside Apartments] Relatively easy, though you gotta do a little backtracking and running around. 7:48 Minutes

Part 3: [Blue Creek] Very short walkthrough and very easy, just watch out for the bothersome bug in the hallway. 2:42 Minutes

Part 4: [BOSS: Pyramid Head] Two different ways to beat Pyramid Head here. ::STRATEGY A:: This boss fight is so simple it's funny. Just watch how simple it is if you do it just right. All you need is get 4 clips of handgun ammo. As you can see, do not get too close while he retreats or you'll see double. 72 Seconds ::STRATEGY B:: This is just for fun. This is me beating the Pyramid Head boss with the chainsaw. 75 seconds

Part 5: [Streets and various places] This is just a matter of running from one point to another. 4:03 Minutes

Part 6: [Brookhaven Hospital] A very quick area if you know exactly where to go. 4:55 Minutes

Part 7: [BOSS: Flesh Lips (Hanging Box Monsters)] Simple if you keep moving after every three point-blank shots. 59 Seconds

Part 8: [Brookhaven Hospital (Alternate)] A redundant area, where you have to go up and down the elevator with nasty monster nurses coming after you. 3:55 Minutes

Part 9: [BOSS: Pyramid Head (Hallway)] Very easy, though I do have three different strategies. ::STRATEGY A:: For 2D controls. Use the stick and jiggle it downwards. 36 Seconds ::STRATEGY B:: For 3D controls, normal strategy. 34 Seconds ::STRATEGY C:: For hard mode... if you don't follow this strategy, this part can be VERY difficult. >>NO VIDEO<<

Part 10: [Dark streets] ::STRATEGY A:: As plain as running around for 10 minutes. Though I did use the flashlight trick. Watch how I do it... very simple... make sure your health is replenished, otherwise this trick will not improve speed. 7:21 Minutes ::STRATEGY B:: I did this with the flashlight on. As you can see, doing the flashlight trick saves you about a minute. 8:15 Minutes

Part 11: [Historical Society and Strange Areas] Decend the long corridor, jump into a well and break through, figure out the combination to the bug room, and drop down another hole. 2:55 Minutes

Part 12: [Prison and Labyrinth Descent] Collect all the plates, put them on the scaffold in the courtyard, collect the horseshoe, lighter, and wax doll to use on a manhole somewhere in the prison. 6:25 Minutes

Part 13: [Labyrinth] Meet Maria, collect the wire cutters, and do a lot of running around. 3:44 Minutes

Part 14: [Doorman Boss Fight] ::STRATEGY A:: Use the shotgun in conjunction with the strafe buttons. 68 Seconds ::STRATEGY B:: Use the Great Knife, rear up, and let him have it! Should take about 2-3 hits. Cannot be done easily with the PC version. >>NO VIDEO<<

Part 15: [More Labyrinth and Catacombs] North Labyrinth and Catacombs right up until the Eddie Boss fight. 2:29 Minutes

Part 16: [BOSS: Eddie] Use your rifle. This is a glitch that you have to get JUST right in order to have it work well. If you don't get the glitch to work, then don't stress, just heal often. 63 Seconds

Part 17: [Boat] To do this in the fastest time.

Part 18: [Lakeview Hotel] A longer strategy, but pretty easy once you get the hang of

Part 19: [BOSS: Two Pyramid Heads] There are a few good ways to go about this. ::STRATEGY A:: Use your rifle. (Recommended) ::STRATEGY B:: Use your shotgun. (Takes a LONG time) ::STRATEGY C:: HARD mode. use your GREAT KNIFE.

Part 20: [Mary/Maria] ::STRATEGY A:: So simple, you'll laugh. Enter the boss fight with NO AMMO. ::STRATEGY B:: Use the GREAT KNIFE.
